My Photographic Clubs Annual Competition

There was a splendid turnout for he clubs final night of this season & the Clubs Annual Competition. The standard of the images entered this year was extraordinarily high, well done to everyone that entered.

I was awarded two trophies on the night one for the Best Monthly Prints & the second was for ‘Photographer of the Year 2015’, this came a a great surprise. The standard of photography being achieved by the group has changed dramatically, so this coming year I’m going to promote the club by getting members to enter their work into county competitions.

I’m setting myself a new goal for the new season & that is to go for one of the WCPF (Weston Counties Photographic Federation) certifications.

Exam Results Day

As results day came around again yesterday for the A2 Students, I was asked by the school that I work for to take some shots of the students receiving their results to post on the school website etc?

I agreed and the morning started off normally until the reporters from two North Somerset papers arrived without photographers; I was quickly commandeered by the Bristol Post to support her during the interviews followed by the North Somerset Times that then requested my assistance. I even got to take press photos of Ruby Harrold, she was one of the competitors in this year’s Commonwealth games achieving 1 Bronze; 1 x Silver & a Gold all that the age of 18.

With fingers crossed this could lead to the start of some new business territory….

Sorry for the long silence:

I have been working on the new design for the Bleadon Photographic Groups 2014–15 programme; plus sorting out the printing of said programme.

Research and purchase of a new high quality photographic projector for the club completed, testing tonight.

Total revamp of the clubs website after the old one ran out of space. The club also has a new web address (domain name) this is linked to the new club website, a redirection has also been put in place on the old website that is still currently active .

Today I set the club up with a Facebook account, search for ‘Bleadon Photographic Group’.
